FALLUJAH, U.S.A.

The ubiquitous availability of military style weaponry added to perceived grievances of a minority population can lead to urban guerrilla warfare.  If we continue to do nothing to address the problems, we can expect to have multiple Fallujahs in our own backyard.

  1. "Texas permits open carry of long guns like Hughes’s rifle."
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2016/07/08/during-deadly-dallas-shooting-confusion-swirled-around-armed-man-carrying-a-rifle/. Watched this last night/early morning and it was surreal ... a (bastardized) 2nd Amendment advocate.

"As January 1 approached, the day Texas’s new open carry law took effect, it seemed gun rights advocates were poised to savor a big victory. The legislation, coupled with a measure allowing guns on college campuses, was the result of a hard fought and widely publicized battle in the state capitol that culminated with Texas becoming the 15th state to allow the open carry of handguns with proper licensing." https://www.thetrace.org/2016/01/open-carry-texas-chl-forum/

A spreading madness is being inflicted on us with no political will as inoculation in sight. How much suffering is enough? It has to be over 50%? From "dumb" to "dumber"? Fallujah, USA ... no exaggeration there.

  3. I condemn unwarranted, brutal violence of any nature. That said ...

Whenever oppressors try to subjugate people that they wrongly consider inferior to themselves, there is a strong tendency for the oppressed to strike back ... current interpretations of the 2nd Amendment provide the means for the oppressed to do so.

“Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed.” ~ Martin Luther King Jr.

Far too many will view the shooting of police in Dallas as being the evil within America, while failing to also consider why protesters were there in the first place.

"Don't condemn our anger. Don't denounce our pain as savage. What's savage is the cruel inhumanity and brutality of the police. Condemn that." ~ Amandla Stenberg commenting on BLM protests in America

The killing of police officers in Dallas was wrong ... as was the unwarranted killings of many blacks in America. Two wrongs don't make a right ... but neither does one wrong.
