Two Democratic Senators, in a speech, today, on the Senate floor, have asked the question, "Why, when an overwhelming majority of Americans, including an overwhelming majority of gun owners, are in favor of  common sense gun reforms such as expanding background check and restricting access, by suspected terrorists, to semi-automatic weapons, there has been no action by the legislature in the matter"?

Republican legislators, in ridiculing that question, have responded, with a question of their own: "What's in it for them?".  After all, there are at least $22 million reasons, provided by the N.R.A. , to block any reforms, so what are  the American people offering them?

The matter of gun reform legislation can easily be resolved by reform proponents collecting funds to outbid the N.R.A.  After all, as everyone knows, you get what you pay for.

  1. They should stop posturing and put forward a bill banning all automatic weapons and let the Repugs put it down. Let's see who has the guts to vote for it or take a chance on losing their upcoming election to a Democrat.

  2. Some Democrats ar staging a reverse filibuster to get them to take up gun reform legislation. Personally, I believe the Repugs will not be moved by the threat of no working, hell they don'tneed no stinking filibuster to not work.

  4. Personally, I agree with Joe. Let the GOP show exactly where they stand on the issue and use that to eliminate them in the upcoming elections. Use the money, instead, to support the candidates who will vote in favor of the legislation.

Why try to buy off officials who are already corrupted by money? Eliminate them ... in a voting sense of course.
