SACRIFICE ON THE ALTAR OF CORPORATE PROFITS
Just as some were proud to serve as sacrifices to appease the Gods of the Aztecs, the thousands of American victims of gun violence, every year, in America, should be proud of having been sacrificed to appease our corporate Gods. Why should dying for the good of corporate profits be any less honorable than dying for the good of one's country?

Ironic that the following advice comes from a former Republican president:

Today's right-wing-nuts would call Ike a Socialist; he proffered peace, prosperity, and progress. He taxed the wealthiest class at 91%. He built the interstate highway system as his means of making the country safer and more efficient (no guns used). He sent U.S. Marshals to enforce civil rights, not curtail them. Prosperity was at an all-time high and the United States truly was the greatest nation on earth. Then, the plutocracy emerged as a force in politics due to Federalist judge rulings in our Supreme Court that allowed money to influence politics and legislation.
The results are as you described.
