BRIDGING THE DIVIDE

The seemingly philosophical divide between Pro-Life advocates who are also anti-gun control has been, recently reconciled. According to what I have learned, many of those that are anti abortion consider that killing a fetus is a complete waste.  That fetus could grow, in a relatively short time, into a fine target for those interested in school massacres, a growing pass time for gun hobbyists.

  1. I find great irony in the fact that the very people (NRA & gun rights advocates) who fought against legislation regulating the private transfers of guns (background checks - 40% of all transfers are private) and against the removal of guns from gun owners who have been found to be mentally incompetent or unstable, are the same people who are claiming that gun control laws are ineffective and should be done away with altogether. Meanwhile school shootings have risen to 45 thus far in 2015 ... gun rights advocates are "shooting" for a record.

  2. On the other side of the divide, "pro-lifers" are trying to defund Planned Parenthood in an attempt to reduce the number of abortions. Ironically, defunding Planned Parenthood would actually increase the number of abortions along with the number of patient deaths due to loss of Title X services. So there would be a consequential increase in deaths of the 4.6 million currently receiving Title X care from Planned Parenthood.

So the real bridge between the divide is the flawed logic of both groups, Pro-guns & Pro-lifers; their logic is simply illogical.

  3. Greg, defunding Planned Parenthood is perfectly logical since they advise in the matter of birth control, a practice which deprives those who are into using young children as targets, of prey. Some people are into hunting docile lions, others like young children. In any case, why would anyone want to deprive them?
