Some people think that Trump's puerile stunt of driving around while ill was to wave to supporters, I believe it was a sign to Putin to please not cut off his support. It was the fear of Putin deciding not to throw good money after bad that led Trump to pull off a foolhardy caper that to show Putin that he, Trump, was still there and a valuable asset to Russia.
