When Putin has succeeded in his plot to neutralize the U.S., it will set off a fierce competition between China and the former U.S.S.R. for the remains. Although Russian money appears to be purchasing most of the American government , at this point, China has more money and will become competitive.
I feel that the U.S., east of the Mississippi will go to Russia while China will assume doninance in the area west of the Mississippi. Alaska will be a toss-up and probable fiction point between China and Russia, Hawaii will definitely become a part of mainland China.
Language studies should take into account these projections.
I disagree. I don't think Russia has any interest in the USA as they prefer drunks to opiate addicts. China on the other hand will take all of the cities and leave the rural areas to go back to a state of nature.
ReplyDeleteRussians are rapidly taking over many Coastal (beach) properties here in Florida which may be driving my prediction. What's driving my disagreement with your analysis is the fact that Nature is rapidly turning the coastal areas, which contain most of the cities, under water which is a state of nature. We do agree on China taking over a chunk of America, which would be payback for having participated with Europeans in "extraterritoriality" in China in the 19th Century. I do think that Russia will want Alaska back.
ReplyDeleteFlorida doesn't count because it is actually part of South America. Trump and what's left of the NRA are planning to escape there and live on gondolas. Those of us in the bible-bashing South will be saved by Jesus and the Klan. Those that live in large urban cities will build tall walls with moats around them and live in virtual reality.
