AFTER ALL THOSE YEARS OF RUNNING AS AN INDEPENDENT

After all those years of running as an Independent, by citing, as a quotation, remarks that Hillary never said, Bernie may have had a mental lapse as to which political party he was competing for the nomination.  It is the Republican party which awards points for false citations.

  1. Politicians tend to lie by nature; some are simply more effluent than others. Comments about political opponents are seldom effusive in nature, even when directed at members of one's own party ... have you watched the GOP presidential debates? I'm sure Republicans are rolling their eyes at this point ... maybe they'll find their brains while looking up and backwards. But Hillary is no better when it comes to attacking same-party opponents. I still remember the attacks Hillary made against Obama when he was her opponent. There are so few statesmen left in government, only politicians.

  2. I believe that candidates who point out real faults of their rivals are performing a vital service for the party in that they are inoculating the competitors, to an extent, from attacks by candidates in the other party. They don't inoculate themselves or the party from less than factual allegations.

  3. When did Republicans start using facts in their attacks, whether against Democrats or each other?
