IF A DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENT WAS UNDER AN FBI PROBE...

If a President, belonging to the Democratic Party, was under investigation, by the F. B. I., for ties to a foreign government, and the opportunity to nominate a Supreme Court Justice arose, is there anyone who would believe that the Republicans would allow the nomination to proceed before the completion of the investigation? Furthermore, if the nominee, of that President, refused to divulge the sources of his funding for the campaign to become a Supreme Court Justice, would Republicans allow the process to go forward without absolute assurance that those funds were not provided by foreign donors?

Of course, a Republican President, under the same circumstances, would be exempted by virtue of privilege.
