DEFLECTING THE BLAME TO THE DEMOCRATS

Despite the fact that no one has, as yet, documented the birther claim that Hillary Clinton initiated the canard that Obama was not born in the U.S., they insist that this is the case, repeatedly, so it's not their fault.  

We can imagine a scenario, in a decade, or so, when the effects of climate change becomes more evident, the Republicans will likewise deflect blame to the Democrats, principally, Al Gore, for the problem of climate change, on the grounds that, unlike the Republicans, they knew what was to occur and did not work forcefully enough to make the necessary changes.

    Your Gore example, although laughable in a satirical sense, is ridiculous enough that it may well be possible, considering current GOP attitudes.

    Remember, just one year ago the GOP establishment spoke horror stories about Trump and fought mightily as a group to deny him the nomination. A year later, Trump is now their shining beacon of saviorhood for America. If he wins the presidency, they will kiss his ring ... and his a$$.
