TRUMP IS A TRUE CONSERVATIVE
The first month of the Trump Administration has proven to be no honeymoon and a really rough patch. It has, however, proven that Trump is a true conservative. Facing a slew of problems, Trump has shown his conservative credentials by reaching out to find things on which to blame his present predicament. He blames the Intelligence community, the media, and Hillary Clinton's campaign for all of his problems, deflecting any blame for his own actions and policies. A true conservative.

THE AGE OF DOUBLE THINK HAS ARRIVED
The Age of Doublethink, as predicted by George Orwell, has indeed arrived. On Tuesday, February 12th, we were asked to believe that Trump fired his national security advisor, Michael Flynn, owing to an erosion of trust stemming from a lie to V.P. Pence. The following day, citizens were told to believe that Flynn was an exemplary person who was tragically forced out of office by a malevolent press that specialized in fake news. There was no attempt to rectify the difference between the two stories; we citizens were expected to believe in both of the mutually conflicting stories, at the same time, without apologies.
EROSION OF TRUST
Trump asked for the resignation of General Flynn, he says, because of his erosion of trust in the General. Since he, Trump, withheld the news, imparted by the Acting Attorney General, about Flynn's calls, to the Russian Embassy, from Vice President Pence for eleven days, it undoubtedly signaled that Trump's trust in Pence had either eroded as well or never existed. Will he be asked to resign as well? If so, he would be well advised to appoint Barack Obama, in place of Pence, to run things for him.

AN ALTERNATIVE POLICY
Before 1964, I was a registered Democrat. I left them, that year, because of the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution which escalated our involvement in an unjust war in Vietnam. I remained an independent even though Democrats eventually turned against that war, because, time after time they demonstrated a lack of testicular fortitude when confronted by moral choices.
Soon Democrats may face a choice in whether to filibuster the Gorsuch nomination to the Supreme Court or to wait for a more politically propitious time. I fear that by choosing the latter, they will break the growing spirit of Resistance to the Trump Administration.
In such an eventuality, I offer as an alternative to working with the Democrats, that the movement be directed to taking over the Republican Party, by participating in the 2018 Primaries. The Republicans are a minority party and really the weaker of the two. If they can be taken over it will allow both parties to begin the work of rehabilitating this nation. Even if it is not possible to take them over, just the possibility of a primary challenge weakens Republican candidates knees and affects their behavior.

TRUMP CUTS INTO BIG PHARMA PROFITS
Trump has, rightfully, called attention to the obscene profits of Big Pharma, on several occasions both during his campaign and, recently after his inauguration. In a recent meeting, however, it appears the problem was resolved, favorably for Trump, and those profits are no longer obscene. It is reported that Big Pharma will be making contributions to favorite Trump causes thus reducing the size of those profits, at least for Big Pharma. The difference will be known as the Trump Cut and is expected to be used, extensively, in future negotiations with other industries.
