PROMOTING THE JUDEO-CHRISTIAN ETHIC

In a recent speech, Donald Trump exhorts us that it is time to match our enemies cruelty and viciousness.  Trump's handlers will be rushing to assure us that this is just campaign rhetoric to consolidate the Evangelical vote by promoting the Judeo-Christian ethic.

  1. There's no limit to the nonsense of "the Trump...eter" I assume that the density of his corpus callosum allows him to ride the twin crests of pro Israel evangelism and the neo Nazi anti-Semitism in the U.S. that is arising in his circular wake.

  2. Good reply, Mr.Thomas.
One thing I've learned in life is that "fighting fire with fire" simply means you'll have more fire. You can lead a human to knowledge, but you can't make him think.

  3. Nothing more add to the two comments above. So, I offer this: http://www.msnbc.com/the-last-word/watch/exclusive-dan-rather-on-trump-isis-714900547709?cid=eml_mlw_20160629. I hope it's accessible.

  4. Hey folks, the title of this blog is "Pitcher in the Wry" Don 't take me too literally. Don't you think it wry that our vaunted, morally superior ethic, espoused by Evangelical types, Judeo-Christian Values, should include cruelty and viciousness? Andthat the man the Evangelicals, those Born Again Christians, have endorsed is Trump who is spouting this anti-Christian philosophy.

  5. "Don't take me too literally." ~ Herb

I learned long ago to take people figuratively rather than literally. People often use the word "literally" when the word "figuratively" applies. There are far fewer cases where the usage of the word "literally" is correct. I'm being sarcastic ... we all know that the majority of your blog posts are based in satire. It's all good, my friend.
